Our Mission

Dulia Daily’s mission is to spread a love for the saints and the faith by sharing the lives of the saints through a daily newsletter. Dulia Daily was created by two teenagers with a love for Our Lord, Our Lady, and the Saints. Inspired by Blessed Carlos Aquitis’ example of sharing the faith by technology through a website, the two boys came up with an idea and put it to fruition. Since, it has had ups and downs, but it is growing to a larger team putting together each day’s blog.

What is Dulia?

Dulia is the theological term signifying the honor paid to the saints, while latria means worship to God alone, and hyperdulia the veneration offered to the Blessed Virgin Mary. St. Agustine distinguishes two types of servitus: “one which is due to men… which in Greek is called dulia; the other, latria, which is the service pertaining to the worship of God.” With regard to the saints, dulia includes veneration and invocation; the former being the honor paid directly to them, the latter having primarily in view the petitioner’s advantage.
